Gurbilas Patshahi Dasvin is a janamsakhi of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji written by Sukha Singh in 1797 CE. The janamsakhi is written in poetic form and follows the immense life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Master of the Sikhs. It includes many little known sakhis and details of their life alongside the more famous creation of Khande de Pahul, all their battles, shaheedi of their father Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and of the Chaar Sahibzadey.
Another surprising story I heard, he who has the Sabad, Guru, in his mouth, in him the silent sound resonates.
Conquering the nine places of the body it enters into the tenth, at the status of Sabad Khand the essence resides,
The desires of the mind, those Rikhis who can endure, resides in his palace on a high parapet.
(If) For a moment there be his company, troubles, the poison of millions of lifetimes he loses,
What shortage does he have, listen, brother, he who has established love for the feet of the Guru?
Successful is their birth (life) and coming in the world, he who has attained the secrets of the infinite,
They will have liberation, and all their dynasty will be liberated, leave will they victorious to beating drums.
The Kalap tree is the wise feet of the Guru; my salutation is towards him,
Whatever desire is in place, in the mind and intellect, he fulfils wherever and at that instant.
All wisdom is in him, listen, brother, he understands, the one whom he shows,
He who has been touched by the Philosopher’s stone, turned into gold removing impurities.
When a complete disciplined Sikh of the Guru is met brother, then this secret makes all-wise,
Seeing the immeasurable treasures of the Guru, all strategies are complete beyond admiration.
Goes to the realm of Sabad with the Sangat, he sees the wondrous form and is astonished,
He who forms love with the gift of Naam will attain great powerful auspicious intent.
